Simon Monjack ‘Ridiculously Upset’ By Brittany Murphy Coroner’s Report

Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack is reportedly upset with coroner's findings released Thursday about his late wife's death. People.com reports that Monjack said he was "ridiculously upset" by the report, also saying, "Everything [surprised me and Brittany's mom about the report]…I expected [the cause of death] to be her heart." Monjack and Murphy's mother Sharon had expressed earlier that they thought Murphy died due to her congenital heart murmur and shut down rumors that the star took illegal drugs, says the mag. Jackson Estate Looking to ‘Quash’ Joe Jackson’s Request for Son’s Medical Records

Legal representatives for the Michael Jackson estate are looking to "quash" Joe Jackson's request for his son's medical records, saying the records "have absolutely no relevance" to his petition for a family allowance. ET has obtained documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court by the Jackson estate opposing the Jackson patriarch's effort to obtain the records in order to file a wrongful death action "against the people who caused his son's death." Michael Jackson’s Former Doctor Agrees to Surrender

Michael Jackson's former personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, has agreed to surrender himself on Friday, Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff tells ET. The particulars of Murray’s surrender have not yet been arranged. Prosecutors plan to charge Murray with involuntary manslaughter, says the Associated Press. Former Edwards Aide Challenges Restraining Order Regarding Alleged Sex Tape

Former John Edwards aide Andrew Young, along with his wife Cheri, are challenging a temporary restraining order filed by Edwards' ex-mistress Rielle Hunter, which would require them to turn over an alleged sex tape and other items that Hunter claims she owns. In their challenge, the Youngs claim that the restraining order requires them to return a "personal video recording that depicted matters of a very private and personal nature" that Hunter claims was recorded in or about September 2006. They, however, say that the woman seen with John Edwards in the alleged sex tape is pregnant, and since Hunter and Edwards' daughter was born in March 2008, it could not have been recorded starring Hunter in 2006, since she was not pregnant at that time. Brittany Murphy Cause of Death Released

A cause of death has been determined in the sudden passing of Brittany Murphy. ET has obtained the coroner's report, which states the actress died of pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anemia and multiple drug intoxication. The drugs in her system were reportedly over-the-counter and prescription. The manner of death is listed as "accident." Read More »

Casey Johnson’s Cause of Death Revealed

The Los Angeles Coroner's office has determined the cause of death of Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson, who passed away last month. The coroner says Johnson's autopsy revealed that she died of diabetic ketoacidosis and that the manner of death was natural. Diabetic ketoacidosis is a complication of diabetes that occurs when the body does not have insulin or enough insulin. When this happens, fat is used instead, thus causing byproducts of fat breakdown, called ketones, to build up in the body. Johnson passed away on January 5 of this year at the young age of 30. Golden Globe winner Diahann Carroll is bringing her acclaimed one-woman show to television -- and it's all for a good cause!
