John Edwards Breaks His Silence on Former Aide’s Allegations

John Edwards goes on the record about allegations made in a new book by a former aide and related to his sex scandal with his ex-mistress Rielle Hunter. Edwards is speaking out after his former aide Andrew Young made allegations about the former presidential candidate in a new book and in an interview with ABC’s "20/20," airing Friday night. Edwards tells ABC: "While we have not had an opportunity to view the interview or read the book, we urge extreme caution by everyone involved. John Edwards’ Ex-Mistress Granted Restraining Order Related to ‘Personal’ Video

Rielle Hunter, the former mistress of John Edwards, has filed court documents and has been granted a temporary restraining order related to a "private and personal" video. In the court papers, obtained by ET, Hunter asks that Andrew Young and Cheri Young be blocked from distributing the personal videos and photos. Young told ABC's Bob Woodruff about an alleged sex tape of Edwards and Hunter, saying, "There was one tape that was marked 'special,'" explaining, "It's a sex tape of Rielle and John Edwards made just a couple of months before the Iowa caucuses." Ricki Lake, Rachel Hunter, "Real Housewife of NYC" Jill Zarin and more celebs took part in a panel discussion about obesity in America at the Sundance Film Festival. Ricki, who moderated the event, titled Obsession: A Luncheon of Conspicuous Consumption, said on the red carpet, "I've done every diet imaginable over the years. I mean, I've been, you know, 260 pounds, I’ve been 120 pounds, ... but, you know, I watch what I eat. I mean, I'm 41. I really monitor it and I work out ... and it's not even a matter of being a certain size, it's about how I feel." Jill chimed in, "The reality of life is that people judge you by your appearance. Spokesperson for Elizabeth Edwards on Explosive New Allegations

A spokesperson for Elizabeth Edwards is going on the record regarding explosive new allegations about Elizabeth's estranged husband, former senator John Edwards. Elizabeth, who announced earlier this week that she is separated from John, responded through her rep to allegations she says were made in a book, The Politician: An Insider's Account of John Edwards's Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal That Brought Him Down, written by John's former aide Andrew Young. "Elizabeth is moving on with her life and wants to put this difficult chapter behind her. It was an excruciatingly painful period for her and she [has] no interest in rehashing the past.
