With a day to go until George Clooney's telethon "Hope for Haiti Now" hits airwaves, George is speaking in an all-new interview about the undertaking.
"Be involved," George said of the message he wants to get across. "It's a big world out there and we have a lot of responsibility to look out for people who can't look out for themselves."
George said that his telethon will give people a number of ways to give: "There's a lot of ways to [give]. You can do it online, you can do it through phone calls, the old fashioned way -- sometimes it's nice just to be able to talk to somebody."

In the wake of John Edwards' public confession that he is indeed the biological father of nearly two-year-old Frances Quinn Hunter, a former aide dismisses the action as "empty words" -- and claims that the former presidential candidate asked him to steal a soiled diaper for a DNA test. In an interview airing on ABC's "20/20" on Friday, January 29, former Edwards aide Andrew Young says of the public confession, "If that is what he wanted to say, he should have said it two years ago. And there has been plenty of time...Now I think it's just a PR campaign." Edwards, who is currently in Haiti with actor Sean Penn, made his confession today allegedly because the arrangements for child support were just finalized, according to family friend and lawyer Harrison Hickman.

Brooke Mueller, the wife of Charlie Sheen, is reportedly responding well to antibiotics in intensive care after a serious infection from an impacted wisdom tooth sent her to a Los Angeles hospital.
Brooke's mother, Moira Fiore, tells People.com, "Brooke came in at the very last minute because sepsis from an infection following surgery for her impacted wisdom tooth had invaded her system, and her organs were starting to shut down. Today her lungs, kidney and liver functions look better. But doctors are still worried about her low blood pressure."
Brooke was reportedly battling a case of pneumonia after being rushed to an L.A. hospital Tuesday night with a 105-degree fever, according to her mother, who calls the situation a "close call."
