Report: Brittany Murphy May Have Died of Natural Causes

According to a new report, actress Brittany Murphy may have died of natural causes. The AP reports that the Los Angeles Coroner’s office told them that it appears that Murphy died of natural causes and that they are looking into the actress’ medical history. An official cause of death will not be announced for some time due to the need to perform toxicology tests, the AP reports. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told the AP that Murphy apparently collapsed in the bathroom Sunday morning. He also told them that Murphy's family is cooperating with the coroner's investigation and that an autopsy is planned for Monday or Tuesday. Read More »

Brittany Murphy Update from Los Angeles Coroner

ET has an update from the Los Angeles coroner regarding Brittany Murphy. The coroner’s office tells ET they are en route to Cedars-Sinai where Murphy was pronounced dead this morning. They will identify and fingerprint the body and speak with the family. The death has been reported to the coroner. ET has the latest... Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, has died. A Cedars-Sinai Hospital spokesperson tells ET that the actress passed away at 10:04 on Sunday morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a 911 call from the home of Murphy's husband, the Associated Press reports. The Fire Department spokesperson tells ET that the 911 call was received at 8 a.m. on Sunday and that one person was brought to the hospital. Read More »
