Judge Orders Trial for Three Defendants in Anna Nicole Smith Case

ET has learned that a Los Angeles judge on Friday ordered that Anna Nicole Smith's former companion and two of her former doctors stand trial on charges of allegedly providing the late star with prescription drugs illegally. The decision was made following a three-week preliminary hearing that was held to determine if attorney Howard K. Stern, psychiatrist Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor should stand trial. ET has learned that Stern faces 11 felony counts, while Eroshevich and Kapoor each face six felony counts. Levi Johnston Thinks Sarah Palin and Husband Will Divorce

Levi Johnston opens up to ET's Mark Steines about rocky relationship rumors about former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her husband Todd. In the interview, Mark asks Levi, "Do you think this relationship is headed for divorce?" Levi responds, "I'm sure it is. Just like she decided she was going to quit [being the] governor [of Alaska], just was waiting for the right time, they're gonna wait it out. The World Series and Mastercard to ‘Stand Up to Cancer’

Game three of the World Series will play a big part in standing up to cancer. During the game, set to air on Halloween on FOX, a 30-second commercial spot for Mastercard's "Priceless" campaign will be a PSA for the charity Stand Up to Cancer. The spot will feature the live crowd at the game in Philadelphia, and will cut live to the ballpark at the end where "CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric (a founding member of Stand Up to Cancer) and actors Minka Kelly and Terrence Howard will encourage viewers to Stand Up to Cancer, as part of this year's World Series dedication to community service. The PSA, produced by 'Spider-man' producer and cancer survivor Laura Ziskin, marks the first time that a Mastercard "Priceless" spot has been dedicated to a nonprofit. Read More »

Stars and Pinstripes at Game 2 of World Series

The Yankees attract star power on and off the field. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys hit it out of the park Thursday night with their collaboration on “Empire State of Mind.” John Legend hit the perfect pitch, singing the national anthem. Avid Yankee supporters Kate Hudson and Rudy Giuliani were also spotted in the stands. In Game Two of the World Series, the Bronx Bombers beat the Phillies 3-1, tying the series at 1-1. Manager: Dennis Hopper Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer

Dennis Hopper's manager says the star has prostate cancer. The 73-year-old Oscar nominee is calling off his travel plans in order to receive treatment in a "special program" at the University of Southern California, his manager Sam Maydew tells the Associated Press. “We’re hoping for the best,” Maydew says of the actor’s prognosis. Investigator: Nanny Claims She Saw Two Defendants Force Drugs on Anna Nicole Smith

An investigator testified Thursday in the Anna Nicole Smith drug case, saying that a nanny who worked for Smith claimed she saw Howard K. Stern and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich force drugs on the late star, says a new report. The Associated Press reports that Department of Justice investigator Danny Santiago testified that Nadine Alexie claimed she saw Smith's companion (Stern) and former psychiatrist (Eroshevich) give Smith drugs against her will that kept her asleep for days. Santiago said he got the information from Alexie during an interview with her in September. The nanny, according to Santiago, also claimed that Smith would wake up with vomit and feces in her bed, according to the AP. Read More »

Nicolas Cage’s Father Passes Away

August Coppola -- father to Nicolas Cage and brother to filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola -- has died at the age of 75. The literature professor passed away on Tuesday after a heart attack, Cage's spokesperson tells the Associated Press. Coppola not only taught literature but also served as the Dean of Creative Arts at San Francisco State University. Coppola is survived by Cage, his other two sons Christopher and Marc and six grandchildren, according to the AP. Read More »
