Dennis Hopper's manager says the star has prostate cancer.
The 73-year-old Oscar nominee is calling off his travel plans in order to receive treatment in a "special program" at the University of Southern California, his manager Sam Maydew tells the Associated Press.
“We’re hoping for the best,” Maydew says of the actor’s prognosis.

An investigator testified Thursday in the Anna Nicole Smith drug case, saying that a nanny who worked for Smith claimed she saw Howard K. Stern and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich force drugs on the late star, says a new report. The Associated Press reports that Department of Justice investigator Danny Santiago testified that Nadine Alexie claimed she saw Smith's companion (Stern) and former psychiatrist (Eroshevich) give Smith drugs against her will that kept her asleep for days. Santiago said he got the information from Alexie during an interview with her in September. The nanny, according to Santiago, also claimed that Smith would wake up with vomit and feces in her bed, according to the AP.

August Coppola -- father to Nicolas Cage and brother to filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola -- has died at the age of 75.
The literature professor passed away on Tuesday after a heart attack, Cage's spokesperson tells the Associated Press. Coppola not only taught literature but also served as the Dean of Creative Arts at San Francisco State University.
Coppola is survived by Cage, his other two sons Christopher and Marc and six grandchildren, according to the AP.

Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson's two oldest children, is sharing her thoughts on whether "Prince" Michael, Paris and "Blanket" should see 'This Is It,' now in IMAX and conventional theaters. Debbie tells ET about the film: "It's a wonderful way for the kids to see their father memorialized, and if you want to see the real man, magnify that over a hundred times." The highly anticipated film comprised of Jackson's final rehearsal footage grossed an estimated $2.2 million at the domestic box office for its Tuesday night shows, a record for a Tuesday October release, according to Variety.

The Bahamas lawmaker who is responsible for the mistrial in the John Travolta extortion case will reportedly not face charges of being in contempt of court.
"You have been rightly ridiculed locally and internationally," Senior Justice Anita Allen said after considering punishing local politician Picewell Forbes, the Associated Press reports. "It is my opinion that you have suffered enough."
In the case, charges were filed against ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne and his lawyer Pleasant Bridgewater for attempting to extort $25 million from the Golden Globe-winning actor after the passing of his son Jett. Both defendants pled not guilty.

ET talked with the friends and family of Ivanka Trump as they attended another wedding reception for the new bride and her husband Jared Kushner at the Puck building in New York City Wednesday evening.
The father of the bride, Donald Trump, said of the marriage, "It's going to be great," and when asked if the two were a match made in heaven, he replied, "I think it is."
Ivanka's mother Ivana, a family friend Nikki Haskell and other family members also attended the reception. Ivanka said "I do" at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey on Sunday. The bride walked down the aisle in a custom Vera Wang gown as more than 500 guests looked on, including Regis Philbin and Barbara Walters.
