A pharmacist testified Thursday that he told a doctor he wouldn't fill one of Anna Nicole Smith's drug prescriptions because he felt it could lead to "pharmaceutical suicide" for the late actress, says the Associated Press. Ira Freeman told the court that five months prior to Smith's 2007 drug-related death, he received a fax from Dr. Sandeep Kapoor on behalf of Smith's psychiatrist Dr. Khristina Eroshevich requesting six drugs, which included opiates and methadone, a painkiller. "I called Dr. Kapoor," Freeman said. "I said, 'This is crazy. This is pharmaceutical suicide. The dosages are way out of whack.' I said I wouldn't fill it and no pharmacy in California would."

Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden shoots from the hip when recounting last week's "Balloon Boy" incident -- and subsequent backlash -- in his new blog, showing his sense of resolve – and humor – amid the media frenzy surrounding the story. In his "The Bull's Eye – Straight Shooting from the Sheriff" blog, this week titled "Up, Up and Away," he delivers some "insight into public response to this incident and what we have had to deal with behind the scenes" after six-year-old Falcon Heene, believed to be trapped in a rogue, experimental flying saucer-shaped balloon, turned up in the family's garage attic. Alderden says his office has received over 500 e-mails and a like number of phone calls from all over the world, from Germany to Fiji. Many contained suggestions on how to perform a rescue, including, "Harrier aircraft, hot air balloons with nets, sky divers, blimps, ultra-lights, para-gliders, ...

A lawyer for John Travolta is speaking out about the star’s emotions following the news that his extortion case was declared a mistrial.
"He was upset as he wanted closure," attorney Mike Ossi tells People.com. "The family wants to privately begin the long and difficult healing process – as well as to properly honor Jett's memory – without the cloud of this litigation over their heads. But he said he is committed to cooperating with authorities so justice can be served."
Ossi says Travolta, his wife Kelly Preston and their 9-year-old daughter Ella Bleu "are spending all their time together" following the loss of their son and brother Jett earlier this year.

An editor formerly employed by Richard Heene speaks out about the dad of the so-called "Balloon Boy" -- who he says filed a restraining order against him after he quit and attempted to "mess with my life."
Documents obtained by ET reveal that Richard and his wife Mayumi asked for protection from Matt Wineroth for themselves and their three children, Bradford, Ryo and Falcon, back in 2006. They claimed that Wineroth, who they called an "ex-employee," not only reported them to the Department of Children and Family Services, but they also alleged that he and his partner Josh Chase had stolen a copy of a database from their production company, My You Me Productions.
Wineroth told ET that when he notified Heene that he was quitting, he just started "screaming."

ET is first with reaction from John Travolta after his extortion case was declared a mistrial.
"We are disappointed to hear about the alleged juror misconduct since we know that the Bahamian government, the court, the other jurors and John Travolta as the victim want to have this matter adjudicated through the judicial system," a rep for the actor tells ET. "Mr. Travolta has and will continue to cooperate with the Bahamian authorities in the prosecution of the defendants for extortion."
A date has not yet been set for the retrial. According to the Associated Press, Judge Anita Allen said, "The dilemma we face is great. I am erring on the side of caution. Justice must be transparent."
