Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard is accustomed to gold around her neck and now she has a bundle of blue in her arms. The champion athlete has given birth to a baby boy. According to People, the new mom welcomed Blaise Ray Brown on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The baby weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces. Beard told People, "I was in labor for about 16 hours and it was all worth it. He is happy and healthy and everything went as planned."

ET was at the Badgley Mischka Spring 2010 fashion show in New York City Monday night, where Kim Kardashian, Kara DioGuardi and Fran Drescher shared their thoughts on the death of Patrick Swayze. "Someone just told me on the way in, and I almost got sick," Kara told ET of the sad news. "Cancer -- I've been touched by it in my own family. I'm sure many people out there have. It's just sad whenever you lose anybody to that disease." "I had never met Patrick Swayze, but obviously I'm a huge fan of 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost' and his movies are just legendary," Kim told ET. "It's really sad. I think he fought really hard, and, you know, my prayers are just with his family."

Patrick Swayze's former co-stars are speaking out to ET and remembering the beloved star.
Whoopi Goldberg, who delighted audiences alongside Swayze in the 1991 hit film 'Ghost,' tells ET: "Patrick was a really good man, a funny man and one to whom I owe much that I can't ever repay. I believe in 'Ghost's' message, so he'll always be near."

Actor Patrick Swayze has died. He was 57.
Patrick passed away on Monday in Los Angeles surrounded by family. The actor had been battling pancreatic cancer since being diagnosed in early 2008.
Determined to fight his illness, Patrick resolutely continued working on his A&E series "The Beast" throughout his cancer treatments and also spent as much time as he could with wife of 34 years Lisa Niemi and their family.

Talk show host David Letterman attended the opening ceremony Monday of a new heart center in New York City.
Former patient Letterman was on hand at the unveiling of the Ron O. Perelman Heart Institute of New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and spoke of the medical facility fondly.
"When I’m here, I see a lot of people I know, a lot of people that, because of their efforts, I’m still living -- if you can call a steady diet of oat bran and egg whites living," he joked, and then continued in seriousness, "It's fun to be back here and this is a tremendous facility."
