Debbie Rowe Invited to Michael Jackson’s Burial?

Was Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson's two older children, invited to the late King of Pop's private burial service, as several reports have suggested? ET sets the record straight. Contrary to the reports, sources confirm to ET that Rowe was not invited to Thursday night's service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. Rowe, who has been grieving privately, had requested the opportunity to say goodbye to Michael in private on Wednesday night. However, she was denied that opportunity and is heartbroken over it. A number of Michael Jackson's famous friends have gathered at his private burial service, which will begin once the late icon's family arrives. Mourners at Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park include Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, Mila Kunis, Al Sharpton and Chris Tucker. Gladys Knight is expected to sing at the service, as well. Actors Taye Diggs and wife Idina Menzel are first time parents. "Private Practice" star Diggs and Broadway actress Menzel (the Tony-award winning former star of Wicked) welcomed baby boy Walker Diggs on Wednesday. Eighteen-year kidnapping victim Jaycee Dugard was represented by her aunt, Tina Dugard, at a press conference today. "Her mother Terry is my sister," Tina said, introducing herself. Though it was obviously an emotional time, she expressed how happy they were to be reunited -- as well as her gratitude to those who helped make it happen. ET has just obtained this photo of Phillip Garrido, the man accused of abducting Jaycee Dugard, which was taken on the day he was arrested in 1976, 15 years before Jaycee's abduction. Gladys Knight to Sing at Jackson’s Final Goodbye

ET confirms new details in this evening's burial for Michael Jackson.  Gladys Knight will sing at Michael's funeral, according to her rep. The burial service will be held on Thursday, September 3 at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Posthumous Release of Ted Kennedy Memoir

The late Senator Edward Kennedy candidly speaks of the demons that contributed to his long and fascinating life and political career. Read on for excerpts prior to the book's publication. In his 532-page memoir titled "True Compass," already obtained by the New York Times, Kennedy opens up about his remorse for the infamous Chappaquiddick car accident in 1969. He calls his leaving the scene of the accident "inexcusable" and admits he lived with guilt associated with it for decades to follow. On July 18, 1969, Kennedy drove a car off a bridge into a pond. He swam to safety, leaving Mary Jo Kopechne in the car to drown. She was found 10 hours later.
