Mandy Moore reacts to the sudden death of her former boyfriend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein.
"I am absolutely heartbroken," Moore said in a statement released to ET. "To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement. My heart goes out to his loved ones."
Goldstein was found dead at the age of 36 on Friday evening in his New York City apartment. Moore calls DJ AM, ""the very definition of a true friend."

Former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager is reportedly becoming a member of the press.
The daughter to former President George W. Bush is NBC's newest correspondent on the "Today" show, the Associated Press reports. Jenna, a Baltimore school teacher and two-time published author, will be covering stories on education once a month for the morning show.
"It wasn't something I'd always dreamed to do," she told the AP. "But I think one of the most important things in life is to be open-minded and to be open-minded for change."

Sen. Ted Kennedy was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, on Saturday evening following his funeral service earlier that morning in Boston.
Kennedy's final resting place is next to where his brothers President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy are buried.
Colleagues and admirers lined the steps of the U.S. Capitol and memorialized Kennedy when his motorcade made a stop there en route to Arlington National Cemetery, known as the last resting place for heroes and notables of United States history.

President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and a host of major public figures such as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jack Nicholson attended Sen. Ted Kennedy's funeral in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston on Saturday morning.
“Ted Kennedy’s life’s work was not to champion those with wealth or power or special connections,” President Obama said in his eulogy. “It was to give a voice to those who were not heard; to add a rung to the ladder of opportunity; to make real the dream of our founding.
“He was given the gift of time that his brothers were not, and he used that gift to touch as many lives and right as many wrongs as the years would allow,” the president added.

Dancing Michael Jackson fans reportedly numbering in the thousands filled up a New York park where director Spike Lee hosted a ceremonial birthday bash for the late King of Pop, who would have turned 51 on Saturday.
The party-goers danced beneath a shower of rain in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park as a DJ spun Jackson's classic songs, says the Associated Press.
“I was just like everyone else. I loved his talent," Lee said.

MTV released a statement that reads, "Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein’s death is an incredible loss to the music community, his friends, family and his fans, and to those of us who had the privilege of working with him. MTV was honored to support him as he helped young people battle their own addictions. Our heartfelt thoughts go out to his family." Las Vegas hotel mogul George Maloof said in a statement, "I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of DJ AM. He was our resident DJ at Rain Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort. We considered him a friend and a great artist. He will truly be missed."

The late Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was honored on Friday night at the Las Vegas nightclub where he served as resident DJ.
The Palms Resort Casino and Rain Nightclub held a special tribute for the late turntable phenom, who was the resident DJ for Rain and hosted the weekly event called “AM Fridays,” where he spun his famous hip-hop mash-up on select Friday nights and featured world-renowned DJ friends.
At midnight, DJ R.O.B., who often opened for DJ AM, stopped the music to offer a few words and call for 60 seconds of silence in memory of him. Then, the crowd raised their lighters and cell phones as P. Diddy’s "I'll Be Missing You” played to the backdrop of a DJ AM photo montage on screens around the club.
